STV-3029 is an elective course for students studying in the Master''s program in political science, but can also be of interest as an elective for students in other Master''s programs at the university. | Contents
This course provides a broad introduction into Russian social conditions and politics, as well as offers scholarly approaches to the study of this area:
- Political institutions
- Economic reforms
- Elites and social structure
- Core-periphery relations

Lectures. | Exam and assessment
One term paper and one written exam.
The exams consist of:
- One 6 hours written university-based exam
- One term paper approx. 4000 words on a theme of your choice.
Grades from A-E are passing grades, and F constitutes a fail. The course is open for re-sit examination early in the following semester. | Date(s) of written examination
