TYS-2010: German language Work Load

When the course is completed, students are expected to a have a good general knowledge of modern German syntax as well as knowledge of the main points of the history of German. | Contents
The course builds on the fundament of the courses TYS-1010 and TYS-1012, and includes both synchronous and historical aspects. Selected areas of the syntax of modern German are discussed, and an elementary introduction to German language history is given. To some extent, historical aspects of the German language are related to Scandinavian languages, especially Norwegian.
Required previous qualifications/ courses: University admission certification.

60 ECTS in German must be completed before this course can be taken. | Form of teaching
The course is offered in the spring semester.
Hours of teaching: Approximately 60
Forms of teaching: Seminars, practice, etc.
Teaching is distributed throughout the entire semester, with periods of self-study.
Every other week, students are to submit assignments for correction and feedback. These are to be written in German.
Language of instruction: German | Exam and assessment
Requirements for completion: In order to take the exam, all students must have submitted at least five assignments that have been approved.
Students are assessed through a six-hour written exam.
The language of the exam will be German.
Assessment in the course is the grades A-F. | Date(s) of written examination
