FIN-2010: Practical Finnish III Work Load

The student should attain good competence in Finnish with a vocabulary of about 5000 words from different areas of life and society. | Contents
FIN-2010 provides further practical competence in Finnish with an emphasis on orthography and styles.
Required previous qualifications/ courses: A completed FIN-1012.
The course HIF-2012 Multilingualism is compulsory for students who take in-depthstudy = 30 credits in Finnish at 2000 level.
It is possible to combine courses in Finnish at 2000 level with the course HIF-2011 Language change. | Compulsory prerequisites
FIN-1012 Practical Finnish II | Form of teaching
FIN-2010 is offered in the spring semester.
Teaching consists of lectures, practical exercises in written and oral Finnish, and group work. Teaching will be given in three intensive sections.

| Exam and assessment
Coursework Requirements: Before the student is allowed to take the exam, he/she must submit two essays.
Home exam, 1 week. This makes up 2/3 of the overall grade.
20-minute oral exam, which makes up the final 1/3 of the grade.
