The course discusses methods underlying the field of medical informatics, including methods for representing information in medical systems (clinical data about patients, indexing information for medical knowledge resources, and expert systems); exploration of knowledge-based approaches to medical terminology representation, maintenance and use; methods for evaluating information systems in health care. | Recommended previous qualifications

Lectures: 30 hours, Colloquium: 30 hours, Laboratory: 30 hours. | Exam and assessment
The exam includes 4 approved written assignments, graded by letter A-F. Oral presentation of the assignments can be claimed. | Recommended reading/syllabus
