In this state, there must be jurists who will remain independent and critical to the judicial system, and have a historical and international theory of law perspective.

The primary aim of the jurist education is to serve the general demand in society for a qualified jurist profession.

The candidates will, during the course of the 5-year programme, achieve a level of knowledge and skill which adequately satisfies the requirements made by society regarding ethical and professionally tenable legal practice. The candidates will gain a basis for understanding the scientific method of thought.

In order to attain these aims, the eduation will be designed in order for the students, as they face increased skill requirements, to develop the ability to
- understand the system of justice, both nationally and internationally
- identify, analyse, consider and solve legal problems
- analyse facts and make concrete judicial decisions
- independently seek legal source material
- present - orally and in writing - source material and one''s own arguments in relation to judicial or politics of law issues
