FIN-1010: Practical Finnish I Work Load

The course will provide students with the ability to conduct everyday conversations in Finnish and to read and write simple Finnish texts. | Contents
Oral and written exercises in Finnish at elementary level.
Required previous qualifications/ courses: General entrance requirement.
Recommended previous qualifications/ courses:
None required, but some knowledge of Finnish is recommended. | Form of teaching
Classroom instruction and group work.
The instruction is given in three intensive blocks. The course runs parallel to FIN-1011.

| Exam and assessment
Coursework Requirements: Before the student is allowed to take the exam, he/she must submit two essays.
Assessment method:
Home exam, 1 week. This makes up 2/3 of the overall grade.
20-minute oral exam, which makes up the final 1/3 of the grade.
Grading Letter grades (A-F)
