| Objectives
This is a free choice subject within bachelor degree studies in Philosophy. It serves as a subsidiary subject for social science and humanities fields.
| Contents
The main emphasis of this course is on philosophers in the Kierkegaard and Heidegger tradition. Here, a discussion of modern society¿s unforeseeable and alienating effects on the existence and self-awareness of the individual will form the main theme.

Portfolio assessment
Two essays 4-5 pages in length on a stipulated subject. The essays must be submitted at specified times with with four days'' notice concerning the submission deadline.
