| Objectives
The student should be able to prepare his own purification strategy and to carry out purification, to present purification charts and to evaluate the results and purity. | Contents
The course will cover various subjects: planning purification of protein, choice of source, homogenisation and preparation of extract, chromatographic separation methods, choice of purifying substance and buffers, optimisation of chromatographic separation methods and upgrading purification. Practical work comprises a choice of strategy to purify the protein, optimisation of chromatographic separation methods on a small scale, purification of protein on a large scale and analysis of purified protein. | Recommended previous qualifications
