The course comprises aspects of the physiology of northern/Arctic phytoplankton species and their regulatory effects on marine systems. Basic taxonomy is treated and also sea environmental processes that regulate phytoplankton abundance. In addition to the basic literature the students must complete a comprehensive review with additional literature. | Recommended reading/syllabus
