| Objectives
To give the students an introduction to the genomes and genomics of organisms. To develop insight into the use of bioinformatic instruments for assembly and annotation and further insight about tools for functional tasks such as micro-array and modelling. To develop understanding about how bioinformatics can be used as a tool to design experimental experiments and analyse results. | Recommended previous qualifications

Teaching spring 2007
Emnet gis i uke 17, 18 og 19. Undervisningen kan bli gitt på engelsk. Emnet er adgangsbegrenset til 18 studenter. Master i teknologi-studentene er førsteprioritert. Andre studenter vil bli rangert etter studieansinitet. Påmelding til studiekonsulentene på mail innen fredag 12.01.07. Mailadresse: studkonsbio@fagmed.uit.no. Oppgi studieprogram i mailen.
