| Objectives
The main aim is encapsulated in five areas of competence: academic competence, didactic competence, social competence, work ethic competence, and change and development competence. These areas of competence will contribute to the professional orientation of teaching studies and reflect the various work assignments that contribute to practical teacher training. At the same time, this course of study will enable students to set their teacher training and the role of the school in a historical, social and cultural context.

Teacher Training studies (PPU) are based on three main themes that together offer a basis of knowledge that is necessary to go into teaching: planning and carrying out teaching and instruction; organizing teaching; knowledge and teaching.

Lectures. | Exam and assessment
The examination for this course integrates both the theory of education and subject didactics and consists of a written and an oral part. Both parts must receive a pass grade to receive the final Postgraduate Certificate in Education. The written examination is a presentation portfolio contsisting of 4 pieces of work and must be given a pass grade before the trainee teacher can take the oral examination. The oral examination is organised as an open-book examination with 45 minutes given as preparation time. | Contact person/lecturer

Undervisningen vil bli gitt i Teorifagbygget, hus 1. Hovedsaklig i 4 etg. Fellesundervisninger vil bli gitt på rom 1.425. Annen undervisning vil bli gitt på øvrige rom i 3. og 4. etasje.
