| Objectives
The course should give the student an introduction to the pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics of the main drug categories. | Contents
The course provides a quantitative description of drug absorption, distribution and elimination. The pharmacodynamic and pharmacokinetic aspects of the main drug categories will be described and therapeutic medication principles, mechanisms and side-effects will be outlined. The course will also describes chemical mediators and their corresponding receptors in the nervous system. | Recommended previous qualifications

Lectures, pharmacokinetic calculation (exercises) and lab work. The pharmacokinetic exercises and lab work / records need to be approved prior to final exam. | Coursework requirements
