| Objectives
Students should have knowledge of psychological and psychoanalytical theories concerning development and developmental disorders and theories about intervention and treatment. | Contents
The course is optional for students in the Master of education program. The course contains classical and modern theories about the development and developmental disorders of children and youths and theories about interventions and treatment. Emphasis is on psychodynamic and psychoanalytic theories and work with children. Different theoretical perspectives are applied to increase the understanding of children, and the importance of combining different theoretical perspectives and various interventions is emphasised. Ethical problems are discussed.

Grading system: A-F (F is fail). The course is open for re-sit examination early in the following semester.
