Populærvitenskapelige forelesning av Erik Skaugen UiS

Professor Erik Skaugen har en meget bred kompetanse, og vi henter følgende fra hans CV:
Present position: Professor in drilling at the University of Stavanger (UiS).

Degrees: Doctor phil. in information theory, University of Oslo (UiO).

Teaching experience: Teaching different subjects at the UiO and UiS in electronics, informatics, numeric analysis, avionics, thermodynamics, and petroleum engineering (reservoir, production and drilling). Advisor for about two hundred bachelor and master degrees.

Publications: About 20 publications in information theory, reservoir engineering, production and drilling.

Industry: Completed about 35 research and technical projects for the oil industry, especially on static and shock loading of equipment.

Other: A number of popular lectures on a large number of subjects, from astronomy through physics, geology and biology to philosophy.
