Model United Nations conference 16-17 March 2005

The Model United Nations Security Council at UITØ discusses the UN operation in Congo, MONUC, in context of misconduct by UN soldiers and the special concern with women and security in this operation.

In context of the large media interest in the UN operation in the DR Congo, UITØ students address the highly relevant topic of UN peacemaking efforts. How can the UN protect civilians from abuse and secure peace under conditions of misconduct by UN soldiers?

Watch the conduct of diplomatic business in Audi-Max 16-17 March 2005, 9am-5pm.

Everyone welcome.
