A Program for Drawing and Calculating Space Syntax Graphs


AGRAPH / AHOGRAPH is a PC-program developed by Bendik Manum, Espen Rusten and Paul Benze. For more information about the program download the paper (pdf): AGRAPH, Software for Drawing and Calculating Space Syntax Graphs, presented at the 5. Space Syntax Symposium, Delft, June 2005.

The .zip-folder for download contains program-file(s) of the .exe-format (will be several as new versions are added) and a .xls-file listing the versions of the program (by name and date). The .xls-file also suggests how to handle some "bugs".

Download and use is free under the following terms:

  • There is NO guarantee against bugs or miscalculations and the authors have NO responsibility for ANY such or other problems or faults made by or caused by the program.

  • There is no 'support'.

  • ANY PUBLICATION (digital or in paper) which includes any kind of using AGRAPH/AHOGRAPH shall have a complete reference to the authors and the web-site such as written below:                                                          'B.     Use of AGRAPH/AHOGRAPH (academic or commercial) being published without such reference is not permitted.

The .exe-files require the .NET Framework Version 1.1. If you have an older version of windows (prior to XP service pack 1) you may need to download the update from http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com.
