Molecular Ecology and Evolution

The main focus of our work is to identify candidate genes associated with flowering time and defence against herbivores in Scandinavian populations of Arabidopsis thaliana and A. lyrata . Molecular tools, including microarray screening and DNA sequencing, and ecological studies are used to deduce the relative roles of deterministic and stochastic factors shaping the patterns of variability in these populations.
