Three different alternatives:
1. There is a "flybuss" (airport shuttle)
taking you directly from the
airport to downtown Trondheim. The current prize is NOK 70 (as of April
25, 2005). It stops
outside several hotels downtown, and the endstop is at Lerkendal Stadion.
The stop nearest the university campus is Studentersamfundet.
2. You may also preorder a "flytaxi" from Trøndertaxi
that takes you to a
location you determine when you order the flytaxi. However, there may
be up to two other passengers in the taxi with different destinations,
and the location of the end stops determines who gets off first. (Each of
the three persons may have different end points). The current prize
for this is NOK 250 (as of July
1, 2003), and can be ordered from Trøndertaxi at phone
number 07373 or +47 93007373. It should be ordered at least one day in
advance.
A competing service is offered by NorgesTaxi (phone 08000 or 81001810)
which charges NOK 200 (as of Jan
23, 2002), but they have fewer taxis.
You find the flytaxi (from both companies) when you exit the airport
and turn left, about 100 meters from the exit.
3. A regular taxi will cost at least NOK 500 (as of Jan
23, 2002). Fixed rates are also offered.
From downtown
Trondheim to the Marine Technology Centre at Tyholt |
Please check map. Look for "Tyholt, Marin teknikk". On this map
other facilities of NTNU can be found as well on the city plan.
A map of the
campus.
The buss 60 and 20 go from the city center to the campus.
Information about public transport in Trondheim. It is possible to ask oracle
about buss schedule in English "Buss oracle". The Oracle answers
questions, for example, like this "When does buss go from Sentrum to Tyholt after 1800 on monday?"
The campus is situated near the TV-tower on Tyholt.

From downtown
Trondheim to Trondheim lufthavn, Værnes (the airport) |
The "flybuss" leaves every 15 minutes (every 30 minutes on Saturdays)
from Lerkendal stadion, and takes
approximately 50 minutes to the airport. You may order a "flytaxi" (as
described above), or use a regular taxi.
