Wang, Jingbo , is employed as a PhD-fellow at CeSOS for 3 years from February 15th 2007. He holds a Master's Degree from NTNU, Dept. of Marine Technology. His supervisor is Prof. Odd M. Faltinsen.

Dr. Jamison I. Szwalek , from University of Michigan is employed as a post doc at CeSOS from 15th March for 1 year. She will join the group working on vortex induced vibrations (VIV). Dr. Jamison I. Szwalek worked on turbulence measurements during her PhD period. Her strong background on hydrodynamics and experimental methods makes her well qualified for further research on VIV. The plan is to apply the particle imaging velocimetry (PIV) equipment to study VIV from simultaneously acting current and waves, and also to explain the influence on VIV amplitudes from Reynolds number in the subcritical flow regime.

Dr. Susan B. Swithenbank , from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, is employed as a post doc at CeSOS from February 1st. She will carry out research in collaboration with Carl M. Larsen and Halvor Lie/Karl Erik Kaasen at Marintek. She will process data from previous tests with long flexible beams (rotating rig at Hanøytangen) and try to describe higher order harmonics and stochastic VIV.

Research associate Kazuhiro Iijima, from Department of Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering, Osaka University, will be employed as a Post Doc at CeSOS from 1st September 2006, for a period of 1 year.

Dr. Junji Sawamura, from Department of Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering, Osaka University, is employed as a Post Doc at CeSOS from October 2006. He will carry out research in collaboration with Professor Torgeir Moan and Professor Kaj A. Riska.

Wei Dai, PhD student at Harbin Engineering University in China, College of Shipbuilding Engineering, arrives at CeSOS July 12th for a period of 1 year. He will carry out research on reliability based design and inspection planning of risers subjected to vortex induced vibrations. His contact person at CeSOS is Torgeir Moan.

Nguyen, Trong Dong,is employed as a Post Doc for a period up to 2,5 years starting from 20th April 2006. He graduated PhD from Department of Civil Engineering, Structural and Offshore Engineering Group, National University of Singapore in April 2006. His topic of research will be on hybrid marine control systems for positioning mooring.

Jørgen Hals,is employed as a PhD-fellow at CeSOS for 3 years from January 16th 2006. He was employed as a researcher at SINTEF Energy Research (SINTEF Energiforskning) before he arrived at CeSOS.

Kota, Ravikiran, S.,is employed as a PhD-fellow at CeSOS for 3 years from January 9th 2006. He was employed as Senior Technical Professional-Marine at Kellogg Brown and Root, Deepwater Technology Group, Houston, before he arrived at the centre.

Shao, Yanlin,is employed as a PhD-fellow at CeSOS for 3 years from January 9th 2006. He holds a Master Degree from Shanghai Jiao Tong University. His superviser is prof. O. Faltinsen

Jiao, Linlin,is employed as a PhD-fellow at CeSOS for 3 years from January 9th 2006. She holds a Master Degree from Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Her superviser is prof. O. Faltinsen

Jia, Huirong,is employed as a PhD-student at CeSOS. She is from Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Her superviser is prof. Torgeir Moan

Torkel Bjarte-Larsson,graduated PhD from Department of Physics, NTNU,2005, is employed as post doc at CeSOS for 1 year from 12. September 2005.

Trygve Kristiansen is employed as a PhD student at CeSOS. He starts in August 2005 for a period of 3 years. Supervisor is Prof. Odd M. Faltinsen. He comes from MARINTEK.

Shixiao Fu graduated PhD from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, is employed as post doc at CeSOS for 1 year from August 2005. His superviser is prof. Torgeir Moan.

Wei Zhu, graduated PhD at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, is employed as post doc at CeSOS for 1 year from 15 August 2005.

David Kristiansen is employed as PhD student at CeSOS, (Intellistruct), Hydrodynamic modeling of smart ocean structures. He starts in August 2005 for the period 3 years. Supervisor is Prof. Odd M. Faltinsen.

Eivind Ruth is employed as PhD student at CeSOS from 22 August 2005 for the period 3 years. Supervisor is Prof. A. Sørensen.

Oleg Gaidai, from Crimea, Ukraina, PDEng from Technical University of Eindhoven, Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science. He is employed as a post doc at CeSOS for 1 year from 12th of April 2005

Xujun Chen,PhD is employed as a post doc at CeSOS. He has divided his stay over several periods. He is now staying from 2 April 2005 until March 2006. He comes from Nanjing Engineering Institute and CSSRC.

Xiang Yuan Zheng, PhD from National University of Singapore, is employed as a post doc at CeSOS from 01.03.05-28.02.06.
