The management of the red king crab in Norwegian waters

In the beginning of the 1960s, the red king crab was introduced to the Barents Sea by Russian scientists. In co-operation with Russia a research fishery for the crab was carried out in the years 1994 – 2001. From 2002 it was opened for a commercial fishery for the crab. (23.03.04)
