The Postgraduate School of Clinical Medical Research was established in 2005 at the Faculty of Medicine on the initiative of the

Institute of Medicine
Department of Clinical Medicine and
Department of Surgical Sciences

at the University of Bergen.

The objectives of the Postgraduate School of Clinical Medical Research are:

• To give PhD students an optimal and effective training and supervision in methods of clinical  medical research

• To establish a network for clinical researchers, and

• To increase the awareness of health workers, health authorities, governments and the public concerning clinical medical research and its consequences for diagnosis and treatment of disabling and life-threatening diseases
