A new Centre of Excellence, 'Centre for Software components for biomedical flows', headed by Hans Petter Langtangen (adjunct professor at PGP) has been initiated. The centre is hosted at the Simula Research Laboratory AS.

We are happy to announce that the results of the Centre of Excellence midway evaluation were made known today, and that PGP is among the centres that are granted another 5 years of funding! Now we have until 2012 to do excellent science! 

A workshop on plastic deformation will be held in PGP from January 15-19th, 2007.
