We want to find the genreation mechanism of HF backscatter irregularities and also
investigate which role magnetic reconnection plays in a geomagnetic substorm.
In this project we will use data collected from in-situ measurements from sounding rockets
and the well-developed network of radar and optical instruments in North-Norway and Svalbard
to answer the scientific questions.
