Every year, Norwegian students participate
in the International Physics Olympiad. The aim of the olympiad is
to stimulate students with an interest in science to pursue scientific
careers. In the olympiad, students meet youngsters with similar
interests from many countries.
The Department of Physics in Oslo offers
a week-long training course for the 20 highest-scoring students
in the national final. The 5 best of these 20 students are offered
a place on the Norwegian team for the international final.
