Siden filosofi bl.a.
enkeltvitenskaper.
I teoretisk filosofi drøftes forutsetningene for forståelse og
vitenskapelig innsikt. I praktisk filosofi drøftes prinsippene for
From early in history people sought to give reasoned answers to
fundamental questions about nature, society and human beings
themselves. Since philosophy deals (amongst other things) with
questions concerning the foundations of science, we can say that there
is a close connection between what today is regarded as philosophy and
the other individual scientific disciplines.
Theoretical philosophy is concerned with the presuppositions of
thought, understanding and scientific knowledge. Practical philosophy
is concerned with principles for how we should live our lives, both as
individuals and as members of society.
Philosophy aims to see the different fields of academic study in
relation to one another and to contribute to an awareness of the
relationship between science and society.
