The grade system Bodø University College uses a letter of the alphabet grade system for evaluation of students. The letters of the alphabet use A as the best grade and E as the poorest grade for a pass. The grade F means failure.
Notification
Notification of exam results and other forms of evaluation can be accessed in two ways:
1) On the net: www.hibo.no - For studenter - Arena - Eksamener
2) By SMS: as a text message directly on your mobile phone. This assumes that your mobile phone number is registered in the university college's data system.
Exemption from courses/subjects
You can obtain exemption from certain subjects on the study programme providing that this subject and an exam/evaluation has been taken at another institution. Exemption presumes the student having taken courses, at the level and with an exam similar to the course exemption from BUC's course is sought. Another presumption for exemption is that the course is not included in the admission basis for the study programme a student is admitted to. Exemption application forms can be fetched at the information desk. The application is to be sent to Bodø University College or delivered to the department administration at which the course is offered.
Applications for exemptions must be delivered/sent by 8th September
The application must be filled out with all necessary attachments.

For courses not satisfying the requirements for printing out diplomas and for exams making up parts of courses, only grade print-outs are given. Grade print-outs can be ordered on www.hibo.no/karakterutskrift. The grade print-out is handed out at the information desk or can be sent by post.
