Graduate courses

Industrial Engineering

The degree programmes are taught in concentrated modules
of 9 weeks. Each module are divided in two blocks each of 3 week separated with one week self studying.
After the two block there is a new self studying week and
then the examination.
In each block of 3 weeks the students are taught in three
different courses. The first week course no. 1,
the second week course no. 2 and the third course in
week no. 3. In the second block the same three courses
are repeated.

This program is a two year 120 ECTS Credits program

Admission Requirements
Students with180ECTSundergraduate preparation in engineering, the physical sciences, or mathematics are encouraged to apply for admission.Althougha Bachelor degree in industrial engineering is advantageous in some areas of specialization,  students withbackgrounds in mathematics, computer science, physics, and other engineering disciplines (particularly mechanical and electrical engineering) have found that the graduate programs in industrial engineering offer useful professional opportunities.

Careers for Industrial Engineers
Industrial Engineering is a broad professional discipline applied to designing effective systems and procedures
for using the basic resources of production (people, machines, and systems) in organizations in which human and physical resources are combined to achieve specific objectives. An industrial engineer draws upon knowledge of mathematics, physical and engineering sciences and management, logistics, quality assurance and behavioural sciences to function  as a problem-solver, innovator, coordinator and change agent. Industrial engineers practice in all phases of manufacturing  industries, service industries, and government agencies in such areas as system design, policy analysis, production management, plant layout and design and materials handling. The master program has also a speciality in visualization and virtual manufacturing.
Industrial engineering is a dynamic, rapidly-developing profession that provides a wide range of career opportunities.

Although a Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engineering is advantageous in some areas of specialization,
students with backgrounds in mathematics, computer science, physics, and other engineering disciplines (particularly mechanical and heat, ventilation and air-conditioning engineering) have found that the graduate programs in Integrated Building Technology offer useful professional opportunities.

Careers for Integrated Building Engineers
The design of buildings requires the integration of many kinds of information into a synthetic whole. An
integrated process, or "whole building" design process, includes the active and continuing participation of users,
code officials, building technologists, cost consultants, civil engineers, mechanical and electrical engineers,
structural engineers, specifications specialists, and consultants from many specialized fields. The best buildings
result from active, consistent, organized collaboration among all players.
The degree program  - Integrated Building Engineering -  is a broad professional discipline applied to designing cost effective buildings where the two disciplines civil engineering and mechanical engineering are combined in one education.
