Rønnestads faglige interesser er blant annet: a) studier av profesjonell utvikling og veiledning; b) arbeidsbelastninger og utbrenthet; and c) prosess-/utfallsforskning (forandringsforskning) i klient-relatert arbeid.

Rønnestad’s profession interests include a) professional development and supervision; b) work strain and burnout; and c) process-outcome research in client related work.
