Ivan Harsløf has a Master degree in Social Science from Aalborg University, 1998 and a PhD degree in Sociology from University of Oslo, 2007. He worked as a research assistant at the Danish National Institute of Social Research (SFI) in 1999 - 2002. He was employed with Norwegian Social Research (NOVA) in the period of 2002 - 2006 while working on his PhD thesis. In the spring of 2006 he was a Marie Curie RTN Fellow at Università degli Studi di Milano-Bicocca. He is currently an Associate Professor and a Managing Director of Research Group for Inclusive Social Welfare Policies, Oslo University College.
Main areas of research and fields of intrests:
Labour market, intergration, active social and labour market policies (activation, vocational rehabilitation), youth unemployment, welfare research in comparative perspective
