Students at
Østfold University College are from the autumn 2004 required
to bear the costs for printouts and photocopies by paying for each printout.
Previously there was a flat fee each term. This step has been taken to reduce
materials costs and paper consumption at the
University College. You can read about the principles
of the printout fee here.
Prices
The first 50
printouts (one-sided black) are free of charge (included in the printout
fee).
After that,
prices are:
| Printout |
One-sided black |
kr. 0,50 |
| Printout |
Two-sided black |
kr. 0,80 |
| Printout |
One-sided colour |
kr. 4,00 |
| Photocopy |
One-sided black |
kr. 0,50 |
| Photocopy |
Two-sided black |
kr. 1,00 |
The fee will be
used to cover purchase of new equipment as well as ink and paper, and for
maintenance. It is a non-profit service, which means that prices will be
adjusted on a yearly basis in accordance with the actual
consumption.
Please
note
Costs incurred
because of incorrect use will not be refunded.
- If
you have ordered 10 copies of a document you have to pay for them even if you
only wanted one.
- If
you have sent the wrong file for printout you still have to pay for all the
pages you get out.
Also, unused
“money” on the chip and prepaid printouts will not be refunded.
The payment
works like this
- Charging: You charge your student card at the student
reception OR you charge your student card with included money-chip from a
special cashpoint machine placed at the following places: The cafeteria at
campus Fredrikstad; the staircase 1st floor (Norwegian
2nd floor) at campus Sarpsborg; the ground-floor by the cashpoint
machine at Remmen in Halden. Click here for
a description of how to charge.
- Photocopying: After charging your student card you can use
it to pay for photocopies by using the card reader attached to the students’
photocopier. Click here for instructions for
use.
- Printout: After it has been charged your student card
can also be used to pay for printouts. This is done at a pay terminal placed
together with the cashpoint machine. Click here for
instructions for use.
