Here is a rough guide for traveling to and from the airport, hotel and campus.
The airport in Tromsų is located at the same island as the city, and it is only 10-15 minutes by buss/taxi from the airport to the University, and 15-40 minutes to the city center. Taxis and the airport shuttle that will take you to most hotels and to the city center stops outside the terminal. Public buses, which may take you to both the University and the city center, stops outside the parking place in front of the airport (just make sure that the buss is going in the right direction... :-).
Most of the participants will be staying at hotels in the town centre and need to take bus or taxi to get to the campus where the lectures will be held.
The bus is by far the cheapest alternative (appr. 18 NOK), the taxi fare is appr. 100 NOK one way between town centre and campus.
The most frequent bus route is nr. 20, but the campus is also served by route nr. 32. The maps below shows where they start from the town centre and where they arrive at campus.
