Fall 2005

Inventories and Processes: Structural implications

Every Friday, starting September 9th

10:15-12:00

Room E1004

The phonology seminar this semester will be organized as a lab session in which we will be pushing some aspects of Parallel Structures Model of segmental structure (Morén 2003, 2004) forward, especially in the context of the notion of "selective global comparison" as discussed in the CASTL umbrella project.

Instead of discussing recent articles, the meetings will rather be a collective effort to move joint and individual research on this topic forward.

Nonetheless, if you are interested in what we're doing and want to come along for the discussion, you're welcome to. We'll also plan to give a Thursday evening seminar in a while, to let those of you who can't attend the weekly sessions know about our work and the progress we're making.
