Today's society is described as an information society and we are to a large extent dependent upon technological aids to manage and take advantage of information.
The group is working with information in the form of texts, images, sound, video, datasets and metadata and have focus on how such information can be gathered, stored, structured, organized, integrated, distributed and retrieved.
The main research focus is within the area of Digital Libraries: architecture of DL, collection development, modelling and linking of information objects, information seeking and retrieval, and how to use and integrate Digital Libraries into a working environment.
