Graphics, Visualization and Virtual Reality GroupWelcome! This is the website for the Graphics, Visualization and Virtual Reality Group of the Department of Computer and Information Science (IDI) at the Norwegian Univeristy of Science and Technology (NTNU). Here you will find information about the courses we teach, past and current research projects and the computational resources we have at our disposal.
The group has two state-of-the-art visualization laboratories, the CLVR (Colleborative Learning Virtual Reality) lab which is a joint venture with other departments and the group's own laboratory in the IT-building. The CLVR is home to a RAVE installation as well as a mini-visionarium with stereo capabilities. A similar mini-visionarium can be found in the IT-building as well as haptic devices, a conCAVE, head-mounted displays, 3D manipulation and pointing devices, tracking systems and several top-of-the-line workstations. Velkommen!
