Everyware
Everyware represents an umbrella for future research activities related to pervasive and ubiquitous computing in mobile environments. We use the term everyware to denote the presence of processing power in virtually all everyday artifacts: small computers that are present everywhere in the physical environment and that are practically invisible to the user. In order to blend everyware into the environment, there is a need to address a range of issues from processing power and battery consumption to user routines and needs for privacy. It is the aim of the everyware programme to contribute significantly to the technological development of the ICT industry through research, dissemination, and education of candidates.
