Equation of State, quark-gluon plasma (QGP), hadronization of QGP, Disoriented Chiral Condensates, collective reaction models, fluid dynamics, string models, statistical physics of small dynamical systems. See further details on the Bergen - Oslo Nuclear Theory Team , and on CERN related Heavy Ion Physics. See information on the journal Heavy Ion Physics, where L.P. Csernai is an associate editor.
Apart of Heavy Ion related research, the group is working on pure high energy physics problems: Hadron Phenomenology and High Temperature Field Theory
Staff: Prof. L.P. Csernai, Grad. Students: Csaba Anderlik (for Ph.D.). Zsolt Lazar (for Ph.D.), Volodymyr Magas (for Ph.D.), and Andrea Anderlik (for M.Sc.)

These research subjects are connected to hadronic reactions, features of early universe and neutron stars and indirectly also to heavy ion reactions. Research directly connected to heavy ions is presented under the header of Nuclear Theory.

These research activities are organized in different, projects, networks and collaborations, like the Bergen-Oslo Nuclear Theory Team, which recently became part of the newly established Norwegian National Nuclear- and Particle- Theory Research Project supported by the CERN Programme of the Research Council of Norway (NFR).
