Information about PhD-positions

Generally, in order to become a PhD student at NTNU, one needs funding for a research fellowship. Very often this funding is based on research project grants that faculty is able to secure. I have no openings for research fellowships at the moment.

Again, generally, the applicants must have finished their Master program, or an education of a similar level. The applicants must have background in one or more of the following subjects: Mathematics/OR/Statistics /Econometrics/Computing/Finance. The applicant must verify a high level of qualification through a sketch of a project description, and through possibly previous research.

As per April 2007, the salary level for a research fellow is NOK 25 875 a month. A compulsory 2% deduction from salary is paid into the State pension scheme. The candidate will be employed for 3 or 4 years during his/her PhD study, the latter case includes one year of work duties for the university.
