Laboratory exercises 2007

The laboratory exercises all focus on fault tolerance in distributed systems. The laboratory exercises consist of three submissions. All submissions must be passed before admission to final exam is granted.

The first exercise is theoretical and serves as a background for the other exercises. The second exercise consists of configuration of the Jgroup system and testing of its functionality. The third exercise is to implement a new service based on the Jgroup system. Basic skills in Java programming is required.

An introductory lecture to the laboratory exercises will be given on January 30, 2007 at 11:15.

Groups

The groups can be found here.

The exercises are carried out in groups of 2-3 students. We recommend groups of 2 persons for "optimal learning". The students must registrate for participation in the laboratory exercises by sending an email to the assistant containing name and email address of the participants. Suggestions for groups may also be submitted.
