Study agreement and exam registration
Dear students,
In order to take part in the lessons and the exams, you have to register through the University's on-line registration "StudentWeb". This system has been renewed recently, and unfortunately it is far from perfect. The following guidelines will hopefully help you to do the registration.
All registration has to be done on-line. In this description, we have copied the forms you have to fill in and we have pointed out what you should do.
We are aware that this is quite complicated. However, we would appreciate if you read this instruction carefully, since it will be much more complicated to correct mistakes here.
One basic rule: To navigate in the "StudentWeb" pages, please use only the buttons on the lower part of every page, for example"OK" or "previous page". Do not use the browser buttons "back" and "=>" to navigate!
You need the following to register:
- Your student birth number, that was given to you by the University
- The pin code given to you by the university (to be found on the form you get to pay your semester fee)
- Your address in Norway including the post code
- Read this instruction first

On this page, please enter your 11-digit ID number, that was given to you by the University.

Please fill in your address, telephone and e-mail address and press OK
Semester address
Check your address and make changes if necessary. If you change your postal code number the database will automatically register the correct place. It is important that you are registered with the correct and exact semester address! All the mail from the university to you will be sent to your semester address, including your semester card. In order for your mail to reach you, make sure that your post box is well marked.
Please select "yes" to accept the Student Health Centre as your general practitioner

On this page, you can select the subjects you want to choose for all
the year. As you probably remember, the program consists of
- two courses with written exams in Autumn term 2003,
- two courses with written exams in Spring term 2004
- the theses to be finished in the summer term (in this registration "autumn 2004")
To make it easier for you to choose, we have integrated all the elements in a "recommended study plan". Actually, it should rather be called mandatory study plan.

Instruction:
1. On top of the below page, please select the mandatory plan on the scrollbar.
2. Please click on "select". After you have selected one of the recommended plans, all the subjects will appear on this plan, see an example below.
3. Please click on "OK" to confirm this plan.

4. Exam and lecture registration - only for the autumn semester
Instruction:
- Please check that your courses for the autumn semester appear on the left side of the table.
- Please control that the exam system is "written exam" and the date Autumn 2003.
- Your exam language will be English, even though it is not possible to register English here.
- Please click on the button "Classes" for all the selected subjects and select alternative 1 (see next picture).
- Please select "yes" to confirm that you want to attend the classes for all your courses.
- Once you have selected yes for both courses, please click on the button "ok" below. Your are almost done!
