The Department of Mathematical Sciences started the master of science degree for international students in 1997. The master degree program for international students is a program in pure mathematics, where the department offers three study directions, algebra, analysis and topology. For further information about these research groups see the homepages of the research groups of Algebra, Analysis, and Topology.
The master of science degree is a two year program, where approximately one and a half year is spent on course work and the last half year is devoted to writing a master thesis. For further and more detailed information about the program see the Study plan for the international master degree in mathematics.
Students can be admitted to the programme through the Quota programme (see the homepage of Office of International Relations for further information) in addition to students coming on their own funds.
Applications for this programme is filed through the Office of International Relations. Application forms are available electronically. For further information and requirements see the homepage of the Office of International Relations.
