PDE and Harmonic Analysis

Project Summary

Partial Differential Equations and Harmonic Analysis is a four-year (2004-2007) research project funded by the Research Council of Norway, and hosted by the Department of Mathematical Sciences at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU).

The central aim of the project is to produce valuable new research in PDE and Harmonic Analysis, by bringing together top level researchers from both fields, in an environment conducive to interaction and collaboration. To achieve this aim, the project will be directed both inward and outward, drawing upon the expertise represented by participating faculty members here at NTNU, as well as relying on the active participation of distinguished guest researchers, both long and short term.

Another key part of the project will be the involvement of several Post Docs and Ph.D. candidates, fully funded by the project. (See link on the left for details on open positions.)

Two workshops will be organized during the project period, with the first one tentatively set for the summer 2005.
