Matematikklubb

All students interested in mathematics are welcome to joint the Math Club. We plan to meet once a week for lectures and/or discussions. The topics of the lectures will concentrate on elementary mathematics that is not part of usual curriculum as well as on fundamental concepts of mathematics with details and counterexamples that are not included in basic courses. The lectures will be independent of each other. No special knowledge is assumed from the participants but general interest and a strong willing to learn more. The lectures will be aimed at undergraduates (first through third year students) but are open for everyone. Challenging problems will be given each week and we plan to particapate in the Nordic mathematical team contest as well as send a team to IMC.
