In this example we considered a simulation of the flow past a ship. The pictures present two dimensional cross sections. The fluid is divided in two layers of different density. The density variation is assumed to be small and the flow is laminar. The ship is initiating wave phenomena on the interface between the two layers of fluid. We used the incompressible Navier-Stokes equations with Boussinesq approximation to model this problem.
