Logic and Computability in Oslo
The Oslo Logic Group consists of scholars working in
logic at four different departments at the
University of Oslo
and at the
Oslo University College.
The group members collaborate on education at B.Sc., M.Sc.
and Ph.D. level via offering a coherent
set of courses in logic, supervising each other students and
running a joint
seminar on logic.
The group administrates the annual
Skolem Lecture sponsored by the
Departments of
Mathematics,
of
Philosophy and of
Linguistics and the Science of Languages.
In the recent years members of the Oslo Logic Group have published inside
the following areas: computability theory, complexity theory, theoretical computer science,
automated theorem proving, philosophical logic, computational linguistics (the list is not exhaustive).
This webpage contains a closer description of the group,
its members and its
activities.
