The Centre for Biostatistical Modelling in the
Medical Sciences (BMMS) was started under the name Norevent in
September 2000, and is a thematic research area at the Faculty of Medicine,
University of Oslo.
The centre is given special support by the faculty. Today, research
areas of the centre are survival and event history analysis, cancer
epidemiology, statistical methods for genomics and infectious disease
modelling. The centre has over thirty members, most of whom are
connected to the
Department of Biostatistics, IMB , the Division of
Statistics and the Department of
Informatics at the University of Oslo, and the Cancer Registry
of Norway.
