Call for abstracts and submission instructions

The final abstracts must be received no later than Desember 1.th, 2006 (for those with prior acceptance).

Abstracts should be e-mailed to: econorth@nfh.uit.no
Do not use e-mail attachments. Abstracts should be copied into the body of the message (styles may be used). The symposium committee will take care of all formatting. Indicate in the e-mail which of the eight major symposium themes above that your contribution addresses. Also indicate whether You prefer oral or poster presentation.

The abstract title should be brief (15 words or less). Limit the text to 250 words or less. The abstract should be able to stand on its own. In the list of authors, place an asterisk behind the author that will be the contact author. Give e-mail and postal address of the contact author. The symposium committee will correspond only with the contact author.

Notification of acceptance will be given at 1. November 2006 and authors will be asked to prepare the final abstract by 1. December 2006.

• Bottom-up vs top-down effects on ecosystems
• Resilience of feeding habitats and major trophodynamic pathways
• Behaviour/life-histories/reproduction strategies
• Recruitment processes
• Coupled processes between physics and biology
• Climatic effects on food webs
• Mechanisms for large-scale changes
• Future directions in operational platforms to reveal food web dynamics
