Admission

Every year a small group of 10-20 highly qualified applicants from many countries are admitted to the PhD programme. For success in the programme, creativity, imagination, ability to provide deep insights and criticism, and a predisposition toward being independently motivated are significant aspects.
Admission to the PhD programme is formally administered by Programutvalget for doktorgradsutdanning (PDU - the Doctoral Programme Board), but the individual evaluation of faculty members from the particular research group within which an applicant wishes to pursue his/her education is important in the decision making process.
Requirements
Applicants who have at least a Master of Science or comparable academic degree will be considered for admission. An additional requirement is that the academic education has to include at least one-and-a-half years of studies in business administration or economics.
Online application
There will be two intakes before August 2010:
- The deadline for the first intake is 1 November 2009
- The deadline for the second intake is 1 March 2010
NHH uses an online application process for the PhD programme, and all required information must be submitted electronically when you apply. A link to the online application form will appear on these web-pages approximately 1 - 2 months before the deadlines.
Applications will not be considered complete until all the required information has been received, and incomplete applications will not be evaluated.
