Beskrivelse
Accurate assessment of physical activity patterns and levels is an increasingly important aspect of epidemiological studies, in both adults and children.

The need to use objective methods of assessing physical activity – most notably accelerometers - was first proposed in 1985 and accelerometers are now routinely being used in even very large studies. The present study evaluates programmes to reduce accelerometer files.
