The International Social Survey Programme (ISSP) every year carries out a
major comparative survey in the member countries. Since Norway became a
member of ISSP in 1989, NSD har been responsible for the Norwegian survey.
In the ISSP studies, Norwegian researchers may participate with questions on the same topic as in the ISSP basic module. The Norwegian files from the ISSP program are then divided in three parts:
