3. The position may alternatively be defined as a qualification fellowship for a period of no longer than 3 years. Within this 3-year limit, the duration of the appointment is dependent on the length of time it will take for a fellowship holder to obtain professorial qualifications. There are normally no compulsory tasks linked to such appointments, but if there should be an acute need at the University, specific duties can be stipulated when the appointment is made or during the period of the fellowship. If this eventuality makes it difficult for the fellow to obtain professorial qualifications within the period of the fellowship, the Senate can extend the fellowship period, but this cannot exceed a 3.5-year total period for the position.
At the end of this period of appointment, the candidate has the right to be evaluated for permanent employment as a professor prior to a new announcement being made for a vacant professorship.

Brukes når kvinneandelen i faste vitenskapelige stillinger ved et institutt (evt. også fakultet - se Tilpasningsavtalens pkt. 6.3 II) er mindre enn 40 %.
11. The position is remunerated according to wage levels 58 to 74 on the Norwegian State salary scale, with gross salary from NOK …… to NOK ….. a year. Professorships are normally remunerated at wage level 58.
For professor II-stillinger: Adjunct professorships are remunerated at 20% of a full-time position, code 1013 professor scale, NOK .... a year. If the person appointed has a main position with membership in a public pension fund, a deduction of up to 2% can be made for the same pension fund.

14. Each applicant for the position must send 5 copies of the application with certified copies of certificates, testimonials and a list of academic/artistic work, and 5 sets of their:

I kunstneriske fag kan materialet som skal vurderes være svært forskjellig, f.eks. videobånd, film, musikkassetter, dokumentasjon på oppførte bygg eller seire i arkitektkonkurranser m.m.
I slike fag bruker man kunstneriske arbeider isteden for vitenskapelige arbeider når det passer, eller en annen betegnelse på kunstnerisk virksomhet som passer i forhold til den stilling som utlyses.
Dette gjelder også i teksten nedenfor der det er tale om innsending av dokumentasjon på og vurdering av kunstnerisk virksomhet.
A description of all the academic/artistic work that the applicant feels is most significant and that he/she feels the evaluation committee should pay particular attention to.

15. Joint work will be evaluated. If it is difficult to identify the contributions from individuals in a joint piece of work, applicants are to enclose a short descriptive summary of what he/she did in this connection.
